UKSF in Iraq
UKSF operatives, thought to be C Squadron SBS, pictured in Southern Iraq, 2003, arresting suspected insurgents. Note the C8 SFW carbines carried by the soldiers. During the invasion of Iraq, C Squadron had worked closely with MI6 operatives in Basra while it was still under control of the Baathist regime. The SBS carried out various actions to destabilise Iraqi forces and facilitate the entry of allied troops into the city.
