British Special Forces Rescue Aid Workers


British special forces have rescued a British aid worker and 3 other hostages in a daring raid in Afghanistan. Helen Johnston, 28, was among 4 people who had been kidnapped by members of a criminal gang with links to the Taliban on May 22nd.

ISAF forces, including a British special forces team, carried out the helicopter-borne operation last night in the Badakhshan province in the north of Afghanistan. 5 kidnappers were reportedly killed during the raid. No ISAF forces casualties were reported and all the hostages were said to be well.
