Captured UKSF Team Were Carrying £4M Spy Kit

13.03.2011

The British Special Forces / MI6 team detained in Libya last week were carrying an expensive and sophisitcated communications device, according to recent reports. The purpose of this kit is unclear, with specualtion it was meant to be given to the rebels to allow them to communicate securely with British agencies. Other reports suggest it was part of a communications suite carried by the UKSF / MI6 team for their own use which ended up in rebel hands when the unit was captured.
