22.10.2007

The Special Air Service (SAS) has reportedly been in action along, and sometimes across, the Iraq/Iran border.

The Times newspaper has reported that the British Special Forces unit have been involved in numerous clashes with various Shi’ite militiamen and Iranian Al-Quds special forces who are suspected of trafficking arms into Iraq for use by the insurgency.

A full SAS Squadron has reportedly been deployed to the border area, working closely with US Special Operations Forces and the Australian SAS.
