16 Air Assault Brigade - Promo Video

British Army promotional video featuring 16 Air Assault Brigade. The clip highlights the role of 16 AA Bde - get in by air, hit the target and get out. The core component of the Brigade is formed by the 2nd and 3rd Battalions of the Parachute Regiment (3 Para soldiers are mostly featured in this video).

The video features footage from 'Exercise Herrick Eagle', preparation for 16 AA Bde's deployment to Afghanistan in 2006 (in the form of 3 Para Battle Group). The reality of the deployment was that the 3 Para Battlegroup was, more times than not, required to hold ground for long periods of time rather than the kind of in/out operations featured in this clip.
