UK Helicopter Photos - Sea King Carrying Howitzer

A Royal Navy Sea King MK4 from the Commando Helicopter Force (CHF) drops of a 105mm howitzer. CHF choppers are frequently used to ferry the 105mm L118 field guns of the batteries of 29 Commando Regiment Royal Artillery, 3 Commando Brigade's mobile artillery force. The ability to quickly deploy indirect fire support in the form of such batteries is a key element of a rapid reaction force such as 3 Cdo Bde's Amphibious Ready Group or the Army's 16 Air Assault Brigade.
