A Royal Navy Sea King MK4 of the type operated by the
Commando Helicopter Force (CHF). One of the CHF squadrons (NAS 848) includes a flight dedicated to supporting
Special Boat Service (SBS) Maritime Counter Terrorism (MCT) operations. In 1982 Sea Kings flew SAS and SBS recon teams onto the Falklands. When the SBS raided a Argentine spy trawler, they fast-roped down from Sea Kings. Along with Chinooks from
7 Squadron, RAF, Sea Kings delivered SBS/SAS teams onto the
MV Nisha cargo ship, in response to fears it was carrying a terrorist payload.
