3 para in kuwait
Troops from the 3rd Batallion, the Parachute Regiment (3 PARA) demonstrating vehicle checkpoint techniques during the build up to the US-led invasion of Iraq, 2003. These techniques, honed in Northern Ireland, were used to secure the roads in and around the oil fields and cities of Southern Iraq. The Paras put in fixed vehicle check points as well as being helicoptered into position for random swoops on traffic.
