FPGRM - Close Quarters Battle

photo category: royal marines
fleet protection group - cqb
Royal Marines with the Fleet Protection Group Royal Marines (FPGRM) carry out close quarters battle (CQB) drills at Strone Training Camp (Scotland). Fleet Protection Group Royal Marines maintain a high level of CQB skills. Elements of the FPGRM are responsible for counter-piracy operations and force protection for the Permanent Joint Headquarters (PJHQ) at Northwoods HQ. They also guard Britain's nuclear deterrant, including the Trident-carrying submarines and facilities at HM Naval Base Faslane. FPGRM are constantly practising and developing the CQB techniques required to perform these demanding roles.
