Royal Marines with 42 Commando's Mortar Troop fire mortars from the trailer section of BV-206D tracked vehicles during a training exercise in Norway. When configured as a mortar carrier, BV206Ds tow special shock-absorbing flatbed trailers on which a single L16 81mm mortar can be mounted. Around 100 81mm mortar rounds can be carried by the BV-206D.
