British Special Forces To Hunt Down Terrorist Behind Algeria Attack

British Special Forces have been ordered to hunt down the man responsible for the Algerian gas plant terror attack which resulted in scores of hostages dead, including at least 3 British nationals, it has emerged.

According to the Mirror(1), the Special Air Service (SAS) and Special Reconnaissance Regiment (SRR) have been tasked with finding Mokhtar Belmokhtar, the jihadist leader thought to have masterminded the terrorist operation. The SAS and SRR will be part of a task force, along with United States special operations forces.

The Mirror goes on to report that a small team of SAS counter terrorism experts were among a British rapid deployment team that has been flown to Algeria to help British survivors of the attack and to offer assistance to the Algerian authorities.
