Royal Marines - InterceptING Pirates

Raw footage from June 2009 showing a Royal Navy / Royal Marines boarding party from HMS Portland intercepting 2 suspected pirate vessels on the Gulf Of Aden. As the Royal Marines approach and board the skiffs via Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIBs), Portland's Lynx HMA8 helicopter circles overhead with a Fleet Protection Group Maritime Sniper Team (MST) aboard to provide overwatch. Later in the clip, one of the pirate skiffs is destroyed with shots from one of Portland's Oerlikon 30mm deck guns.
