Royal Marines Photos - Firing SA80s

photo category: royal marines
Royal Marines Commandos firing SA80s
Royal Marines Commandos firing SA80 assault rifles. These are fitted with SUSAT 4x4 scopes, which is the standard configuration. When operating in the jungle, where engagments are typically at closer range than usual, iron sights will often be used. The SA80 is a 'bullpup' design. As can bee seen in this photo, the magazine is situated further back than traditional designs, with the receiver behind the trigger.
