Royal Marine -  sniper
A Royal Marine sniper prepares to fire a L96a1 sniper rifle during a firepower demonstration alongside US forces at a forward operating area in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, 2005. The L96a1 is a 7.62mmx51mm caliber rifle made by Accuracy International. Subsequent variants of the L96a1 include the L115A3, chambered in .338 Lapua Magnum and which has seen action in Afghanistan in more recent deployments.
