Task Force Black - Iraq
A member of Task Force Black (SAS / SFSG) pictured in Iraq (2003-2009). Task Force Black, later renamed to Task Force Knight, consisted of troops from 22 SAS, a company of Paras from the Special Forces Support Group and various other elements such as a detachment from the Special Reconnaissance Regiment, signallers from 18 (UKSF) Signals Regiment, Lynx helicopter support from AAC 657 Squadron, Puma helicopter support from 33 and 230 RAF Squadrons, C-130 Hercules support from RAF 47 Squadron and intelligence support from MI6 and the Joint Support Group.
